The four and a half star Lake House is located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Daylesford. The hotel is nestled amongst six acres of manicured gardens, waterfalls and streams. Walking tracks lead from the property, around the lake and into the Wombat State Forest complete with local fauna and the abundant health giving mineral springs the area is renowned for.
Accommodation consists of thirty three rooms and suites in three styles. Lodge Rooms, located in the original homestead, are individually decorated and positioned between private courtyards, gardens and terraces – clustered around a stylishly appointed lounge complete with billiard table and open fire. Waterfront Rooms have balconies overlooking the foreshore of Lake Daylesford and contemporary en-suites with a dual shower. Waterfront Suites, accessed by a bridge over the cool fern gully, are spacious and luxurious with large balconies or terraces overlooking the lagoon and the lake shore. Each suite has contemporary interior, walk in wardrobe, extensive bar area and an en-suite with dual shower and double spa bath.
An icon in regional dining, Lake House Restaurant & Cellar has long been regarded as one of Australia’s best. Seasonal produce driven menus are strong on underlying technique and support the efforts of regional suppliers. A team of talented dedicated chefs produce virtually everything, from house baked breads to an extensive charcuterie range on the premises. The restaurant dining room offers magnificent views through its large expanse of windows. Guests enjoying drinks at dusk on the outdoor terraces witness the daily ritual of resident kookaburra family flying in to be fed. Reservations at the restaurant are recommended.
The hotel also has an excellent Salus Spa with an extensive range of treatments. Again, we recommend reservations to avoid disappointment. Please contact your consultant should you wish to book a treatment.
